Got this happy little scarecrow at the thrift store. Eden gave me the idea to creep him up. I took him apart and rebuilt him with black paint, glue and a stick.

Halloween goals
I've been looking thru all my books of Halloween ideas and found this doodle of the haunt I was aiming for. I suck at drawing, I know. Most of these are done at red lights or when I am on the go.I have so many ideas but not enough time.
Originally there was going to be several goblins frolicking around, like in the old vintage postcards. Waking their vampire master.
But the year just zipped by. Helping The folks out more, backbreaking work outside in the Florida heat, and prepping for twins turning 21, caused me to cut back this year. While it was the right thing to do and it helped me have one less thing to worry about, it was tough. Especially as we got closer to the big holiday. . I had enough props collected to set up and even Halloween morning I had time to decorate. But a Jerry Springer -like fight between my bad neighbors interrupted my flow. It happens frequently. I feel like I live next to a frat house run by Joe Dirt's mom. Serious. So the past couple of Halloweens have been less than magical because of them. Trying to have a yard haunt with a spooky mood or vibe is tough with them yelling "who wants to do a fireball shot!" in your driveway to all passerbys . To say I was irritated is an understatement. I have to find an alternative haunt location next year. Maybe my sis's house or a friend's place. I was even was thinking of walking around and checking out other houses decorations. We'll have to see.
In the meantime, I want to work more on my sculpting and casting skills. I have a so much to learn. I also want to challenge myself to start selling some small works on Etsy to help pay for supplies like clay and resins. I'll keep the blog current but I am also on instagram too if your curious. Halloween may be over for now but there is always another to look forward to. Thanks for coming by!

Halloween 2017
So I didn't have a lot of time this year to build new props for the haunt due to family needs and budget. I knew I had enough props from previous years to do a small haunt. It was kinda nice after a while not stressing about what I was going to do this year. The witch head was sitting in a skelly body The candy bowl was in the coffin at the feet. A lot of TOTs were hesitant to reach in to get candy. My fog machine I fixed worked great and the cool air and no breeze allowed it to hang low. The coffin was a big hit this year. There was a big turnout and I ran out of candy before 8pm. Another Successful Halloween!
